Curriculum Experience at Lower School
At the Lower School, students learn and grow as they progress from kindergarten to primary school years. Students grow in their learning through a variety of learning opportunities that arouse their curiosity and ignite their love of learning. The curriculum experience at Primary One helps students build a strong foundation for lifelong learning and develop their sense of confidence. Students in Primary One acquire skillsto manage their emotions, recognise their own strengths and needs. They learn to respect themselves and others through quality learning experiences that focus on purposeful play and interactions that strengthen their interpersonal and intrapersonal skills.
In Primary One and Two, students participate actively through active learning, outdoor education, drama and various experiential learning opportunities. Students acquire Social and Emotionalcompetencies through many platforms such as Form Teacher’s Guidance Period (FTGP) and Programme for Active Learning (PAL).
Learning in and outside of the classroom revolves around evidence-based practices in Positive Education that provide students with knowledge on their Character Strengths and skills to live outPositive Emotions and Mindfulness s do that children have a greater sense of self-regulation and thrive as resilient individuals.
